All I Got Was a Photograph

I spent so much time talking to people at BlogHer but I didn’t take any pictures of anyone. I have no idea why. I think I was so busy talking that I forgot to do it.
I did spend some time with the lovely and bubbly Annette, though. We went to the Met but because we got there before they opened, we wandered around Fifth Ave for half an hour or so, taking pictures. She’s as big a fan of architectural detail as I am, which was cool. It’s nice to not get weird looks when you take photos of manhole covers or hinges.
This is my favourite photo from the day. I took it with Camera+ then ran it thru the Depth of Field filter. I’m loving the Camera+ app – it lets you do a lot more editing than Instagram, including cropping, and it has a lot more filters. I just like the way this one looks.
I don’t pretend to be a great photographer but I do enjoy it and I’m hoping I can start taking more photos with my phone. I’m going to have questions, though, I’m sure, so if any of you have any tips or know of good websites (I already know about Schmutzie’s site), I’d love to hear about them.

You’re not uncool! And you ARE bubbly.

love that picture – it really looks like what it looks like in real life – does that make any sense? (and yes, annette is definitely bubbly cool.)

I looooove this shot. So dreamy and syrup-y, which is exactly how New York feels at that time of year.
